Hi there! I’m Abie, the baker behind Kindred Community Bakery. Baking has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. But what you may not know is that this bakery was born from an unexpected twist of fate.

After my college program was suddenly canceled, I was at a crossroads. Instead of letting that setback define me, I decided to take a leap and pursue my lifelong love of baking. And just like that, Kindred was born. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a full-fledged business where I can share my love of baking for people and connecting over delicious food.

I believe that food tastes better when it’s made with love and quality ingredients. That’s why I use pasture-raised eggs, unbleached organic flour, and locally sourced produce whenever possible. Each item is handmade in small batches right here in my home kitchen in Oxford Michigan.
